HERON Cheyenne Bottoms maps laboratory tests to LOINC

LOINC codes are universal identifiers used to facilitate the sharing of laboratory data for research, outcomes management, and clinical care. The Cheyenne Bottoms release includes two folders for labs: LOINC and Hospital. While the majority of labs are mapped to LOINC, future work continues. As a result, the HERON LOINC hierarchy is in draft format. Please send any feedback on this change to heron-admin@….

The new hierarchy structure for HERON laboratory tests is based upon discussions at the GPC Hackathon Two and work by Cerner. Many thanks to Cerner and the GPC Dev team for input and scripts.

Questions about HERON? Join the Frontiers Lunch and Learn which meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month from 12:00 - 1:30 PM in room 3001D Student Center. Register in advance if possible but drop-ins are welcome.

Any publication that results from a project utilizing HERON should cite grant support (CTSA Award # UL1TR000001).
