HERON Plum upgrades to the latest i2b2 version

HERON Plum release includes an upgrade to the latest i2b2 version (1.7.07). New features available in this i2b2 version include:

  • Search your previous queries by name
  • Delete temporal constraints
  • Restrict dates at the item level in addition to group level
  • Access plugins quickly from the find patient page
  • Print query report
  • Display query by right click on search

Trying to recruit patients for a study through Pioneers? Currently you can search Pioneers patients based on self reported medical history. Go to REDCap -> Pioneers -> Pioneers Survey -> Pioneers Medical History Survey to search on conditions specified in the medical history form. Future enhancements will include the ability to search across all data sources in HERON for patients who consent.

In a move to improve the medication data within HERON, this release includes an update to the RxNorm. Newer medications previously not found in HERON are now visible in the hierarchy.

Need help with HERON? Join the Frontiers Lunch and Learn which meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month from 12:00 - 1:30 PM in room 3001D Student Center. Register in advance if possible but drop-ins are welcome.

Any publication that results from a project utilizing HERON should cite grant support (CTSA Award # UL1TR000001).
