The HITECH act has led to the creation of Regional Extension Centers (managed by KFMC in Kansas), a state Health Information Exchange (currently governed by the eHAC but a new non-profit will be created) and a state Medicaid Health Information Exchange Plan (managed by the Kansas Health Policy Authority)
